So, it's probably not the most inspiring move to start this journal again with comments about what I thought was cool on television last night, but I can't resist. TV was filled with the most surreal shit to me that it left me feel all strangely buzzy. Now, I'm definitely not of the thinking that TV corrupts impressionable young minds into apathetic garbled addicts (I don't have time to care), but I'm also not that obsessed with TV being part of my daily life (unless you count Slayers and Supermans). Anyway, I gotta give some props. First off... Colin Hay in Scrubs?! Singing "Overkill"? Who thought that up? cause I have to kiss you. Such a great song, and he sounded great as well. That show is absurd to me, but that was pretty neat. Second, Dr. Romano getting his arm sliced off by a helicopter rotor blade in ER... that was nifty as well. Props the the effects department, cause it looked very real. Lastly, MTV2 playing Husker Du's "Make No Sense At All"... WTF?! That came out of left field. Amazing! (plus the new Queens of the Stone Age video was fun as well).
Anyway, TV surprises aside, I thought it was time to give this journal another opportunity. The reasons I stopped are too long and awfully wordy, and in retrospect probably super lame, but they felt valid at the time. Regardless, I want to work on this daily record of my life, and many of the entries probably will be private. However, those exceptionally nice and wonderful people I've met on here prove that these connections I've made with them are really valuable, so I hope to re-establish contact with those people again. And the writing practice is always good.
Sooo, "hi there" to all my friends, acquaintances, and LJ citizens.

As for TV. It is quite an odd device. I would probably watch it more if "Sick Sad World" was a real show, and not just a prop on Daria. Although I do watch a lot of Daria...

I hope all is well; you've been on the sidelines much too long. *hug*

AAAAIGH! A Ghost!
Ya know.. you were *pinches fingers together* "this close" to getting deleted during a rapid friendslist purge. Just yesterday I was looking at it and saying "Huh! Where the heck did Terry disappear to?"
Alacazam.. there you are!
Welcome back.
