Fy faen! (Holy Shit!) Has it really been over a year since I last promised to publicly post in this journal about how I would go into more detail on the albums mentioned in my last post? That was 2 Coachella's ago. TV on the Radio released another (and better) album since then.

Well, I can definitely say this past year was colorful and had some strange events, but that's only my opinion. I really should post about all that's happened, but it's late and I still have another workday left this week.

So tonight I'll just rave about my latest internet find, specifically Candy's Retro Shirts. It's an ebay store that puts retro ablum covers on any of a wide assortment of colored t-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies, etc. Interestingly enough, I found this place after googling for a shirt of Can's Ege Bamyasi album. And wouldn't you know it, here it is:

And they could it in XXL. :O) Orded and shipped yesterday. Now, I can't decide if I should order a Kraftwerk or a Brian Eno shirt next. What do you think?

Welcome back.
I had to take a moment to figure out the who/what & why you were on my Friends List here ...
Delightful of you to make an appearance.

Re: Tshirt ... I would do the wait and see thing ... ensure the quality of the shirt is what you expected. Then ... well that's a tough one. I'm sure both shirts would raise a number of questions from passers by. However, you could be the operator with your pocket calculator ...
I am adding and subtracting
I'm controlling and composing

Lord ... now that's going to be with me for the rest of the day. oi.

Thanks for the welcome back! I'll work on being a more recognizable presence. :)

You're absolutely right about not going overboard on the shirt. I'm fairly certain that these are going to be those fabric iron on operations, and I'll give it the wash test before ordering any more. Have you ever been on the Kraftwerk site? It's uber fascinating and interactive. The actually have some nifty t-shirts on there, but of course they don't make them for big boys like me.

Thanks for thinking of me :) We are still in Bellingham. You and Garth should consider a weekend jaunt up here sometime. We can show you around the absolute subdued excitement that is Bham. Or we could jaunt up to BC and take in real culture. Either way, let's have lunch sometime soon.

Hey baby! :) I owe you an e-mail. Then you can reply and tell me all about your new squeeze. And you can send me your physical address so I can you gifts to make up for lost time. I'll work on that this weekend.

Really? I've yet to experience a Damo Suzuki Network show, but they sound fascinating. I wish he would do a CAN reunion though. Isn't he devoutly invested in some form of organized religion these days?

I dunno! He's a weird dude though. Like in for-reals.

eno... all the way.

not that i don't love kraftwerk as much (ok, well, probably more) but (and maybe this is because i'm in detroit and everyone's trying to be all techno... i kid) since kraftwerk have actually been touring this decade you see kraftwerk shirts with some regularity...

but if i saw someone rocking a shirt with the "Ambient 1: Music for Airports" map or the monotone face from the "Before and After Science" LP just on black... i'd be like that dude knows something about music ;O)

I agree, Eno would be a more inspired choice. This store unfortunately doesn't have a "Music for Airports" design yet, but "Before and After Science "is there, as is "Another Green World". They even have the Eno/David Byrne album cover :O). Of course, as mentioned above I may be getting ahead of myself.
